“This Dark Brightness” is a duo show bringing together Nieves González and Isabella Amram. These two young artists have in common nothing but their love of painting; indeed within their practice, everything sets them apart. Figurative portraits rooted in a Baroque pictorial tradition on one side, organic swirls of colour and abstract brushstrokes on the other. Yet within this striking opposition emerges an unexpected and magnificent harmony, reminding us that the beauty of creation lies in its fundamental tensions and dualities.
